A tray with an iced drink, flowers and a Pavansudha pouch

When guests arrive on a hot afternoon, the usual choices are sweet fizzy drinks or something with caffeine. A jug of iced mint chai is a lovely third option: cold, fragrant and a little different.

The jug

Make it look as good as it tastes

  • Use clear glasses so the colour shines.
  • Add a mint sprig and a lemon wheel to each glass.
  • Freeze some of the tea as ice cubes.
  • Serve with a small bowl of fennel seeds or something crisp.
  • Mint, Mentha species
    Mintपुदीना · Pudina
  • Lemon peel, Citrus limon
    Lemon peelनींबू का छिलका · Nimbu
  • Rooibos, Aspalathus linearis
    Rooibosरूइबॉस · South African herb

A drink everyone can share

Pavansudha is naturally caffeine-free, so you can offer it to guests at any hour without thinking about it. Set the jug out, let everyone refill their own glass and enjoy the afternoon.
